Adam Shpira is a dancer, performer and a dance teacher.
He holds a Bachelor degree in Dance and a Dance Teaching Diploma from the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance. Main teachers who have inspired him are: Anat Shamgar (improvisation), Ran Brown (floor work) and Anatoly Shenfeld (self-training and professional working habits). Before dancing professionally, he studied one year at the Sandciel Circus School (Israel). This experience, and particularly exploring the clown world, left a significant imprint on him. Other main influences include contact improvisation, floor work, karate and Acrobalance.
Adam has collaborated with artists such as: Rubi Edelman (Machol Shalem Dance House), Moshe Malka (Hulegeb Theater) and Anat Shamgar among others. He feels grateful for the many opportunities and beautiful dance moments. He is experienced in teaching dance and acrobalance for kids, adults and people with mental disabilities. He is currently teaching modern dance classes in Turnverein Niederrad (Frankfurt a. M.).
Adam knows how to fly in the world of dreams. It may have something to do with pure concentration. Perhaps somewhat like Peter Pan’s technique.
Adam enrolled in the MA CoDE program in the fall of 2019.
