Valerio Porleri is a dancer, dance pedagogue and choreographer, who graduated at Iwanson School of Contemporary Dance in Munich and achieved the “first dan” black belt in Karate “Shotokan” in Rome.
He has studied different dance techniques, singing, and acting and has extended experience in Yoga and different kinds of meditation. He received a strong training in Release technique with Valeria Loprieno, especially in the way of approaching and considering the floor. Some of the most important teachers were Flavio Bennati, Mauro Astolfi, Sasha Ramos, Ryan Mason, Minka-Marie Heiss amongst others.
Valerio is influenced by the years of freelancing between Germany, Austria, Swiss and Italy, as well as his experience as a volunteer in the context of social help for youth in Italy. Inspired by the Buddhist philosophy and by the sea, he believes that every encounter in life leaves an imprint.
He has worked for the Nunzio Impellizzeri Dance Company, the Bavarian State Opera and choreographers like Alan Brooks and created the piece “Geliebte Gewalt gewaltige Liebe” in collaboration with Federica Aventaggiato and Ursula Maria Schmitz in Zurich. Since 2013, he has taught in different schools and social projects like B.M.I.C.A and I.M.A.L in Munich.
Since September 2019 he is enrolled in MA CoDE in Frankfurt.
