Michelle DiMeo is a dancer, teacher and choreographer. Originally from Milwaukee, WI, she received her BFA in Dance with Honors from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where her earliest influences included performing works by Simone Ferro and repertoire by Susan Marshall. After graduating, Michelle continued her studies attending various workshops and classes in New York and throughout Europe including Impuls Tanz (Vienna); finding new inspiration and guidance from teachers within classes and projects. Keeping Milwaukee as her home base, she worked extensively with Wild Space Dance Company (2004-2010) under the direction of Debra Loewen. Eventually, desiring to seek out new experiences in a different dance community, she relocated to Minneapolis, MN. For the last eight years Michelle lived and worked throughout the Twin Cities, performing with Alternative Motion Project (2012-2018) and freelancing with various artists, most recently finding inspiration in collaborations with film director Ann Prim. Michelle also works as a STOTT Pilates fully Certified Instructor and Instructor Trainer. She joined the MA CoDE program at HfMDK in Frankfurt in the fall of 2019.
