Ariadni Agnanti was born in Greece in 1999.
After 8 years of dancing in a dance school in her hometown, she decided to study dance professionally. Additionally to her Classical Ballet and Contemporary technique background she did folklore, like Flamenco. At the age of 18 she got accepted to the Greek National Opera Professional Dance School where she got to work with Daphnis Kokkinos, a dancer of the Pina Bausch company; this experience was what motivated her to study dance abroad.
She got accepted to the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts for the Bachelor Dance program in 2018. There she studied contemporary techniques and ballet technique under the direction of Dieter Heitkamp, she attended workshops that broaden her horizons like Gaga practise, Flying-low technique and Counter technique, and she danced in creations by Peter Mika, Kristel Van Issum, Cyril Baldy, Stephanie Thiersch, Toula Limnaios and Prof. Dieter Heitkamp; from who she received strong impulse and new experiences in Improvisation and Contact Improvisation. She collaborated in the interdisciplinary project “Neue Musik Nacht” and in choreographies of her student colleagues.
Since September 2020 she is a scholarship holder of the Studienstiftung des Deutschen Volkes.
She is interested in explorative ways of working and the theatricality of dance.
