Saskia de Vries was born in the Netherlands. While studying at highschool “Martinus College“ (Grootebroek) she started taking dance classes at “The Dance Factory“ (Grootebroek). Here she gained stage experience in various dance projects.
At seventeen she had private lessons for about a year from Claire Philippart (a former soloist of the Dutch National Ballet) to improve her technique.
After graduating, she entered the ‘Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst’ in Frankfurt am Main in 2014. Over the years she has been working with choreographers as Regina van Berkel, Cameron McMillan, Roberto Castello, Ivan Perez, Dieter Heitkamp, Kristel van Issum and Marc Spradling.
"Not only do I love dance, I also like other art forms such as constellations, writing, photography and painting, and therefore I am highly interested in the connection between dance and other art forms."
