The University of Music and Performing Arts Frankfurt am Main will award the academic degree of Doctor or Doctor of Philosophy (Dr. phil.) in the subjects Musicology and Music Education in Department 2: Teaching degrees, research and composition o postgraduate students who demonstrate their special academic qualification through a dissertation and an oral examination (viva voce).
Admission requirements for a Doctoral degree are either a Master’s degree in Musicology or Music Education or the first State Examination for high school teachers (the latter requires a supplementary examination).
