Student parliament and AStA
The AStA (Allgemeine Studierendenausschuss - Students' Union Executive Committee) represents the students' interests both at the university and towards external organisations including RMV - Frankfurt Transport, Studentenwerk - students' services and the like. The AStA makes sure that students receive their AStA semester ticket, it provides them with loans, offers help in case of special need, fosters students' exchanges with other institutes of higher education, works at improving the current situation concerning rehearsal locations, organises parties, sports contests and other events, and looks after applicants during audition week at the AStA info point.
The AStA is elected by the student parliament, which consists of the 12 representatives whom you elect at the beginning of each year. Would you be interested in joining in the work of the student parliament? Then why not stand for election? We will be glad to welcome you as an active member of the committee!
And by the way: The meetings held by the student parliament are public! So anyone interested in current topics concerning university politics or who has ideas about how to improve study conditions should come along! Meetings will be announced on the AStA board in the hall or directly on:
