The University library holds some 120,000 media units, including around 80,000 music scores, 25,000 books and 15,000 sound recordings and videos.
The media collection is presented according to the local Classification System and can be searched in the Online Catalogue (OPAC) of the HfMDK:

Students and academic staff of the University may borrow from the library, any external persons interested may use the library for reference only and may not borrow books. For details see the Terms of Library Use.
The University's PCs with public Internet access are also located in the library. A number of online services may be accessed from these PCs as well as from the whole university net. Some of them - those in bold letters - are accessible from outside via HfMDK account (Shibboleth login).
The library keeps some bequests from musicians, including those of the former Hochschul directors Bernhard Sekles and Walther Davisson. For details see kalliope-verbund.info/isil. For usage please contact the library management.
