Jason Jacobs is a performing artist, professor of contemporary dance, and founder of the healthTech Startup DanceBreak. He completed the Executive MBA at Frankfurt School of Finance and Management in 2022, and a Masters in Contemporary Dance Education at HfMDK in 2014.

Originally from Rochester, NY, he has had an international career as a dancer, choreographer and rehearsal director. He was a company dancer for the Louisville Ballet, North Carolina Dance Theater, Complexions Contemporary Ballet, TUDance, Johannes Wieland's Staatstheater Kassel, and the Hofesh Shechter Company among others. He has worked as rehearsal and trainings director for tanzmainz, and co-directed together with choreographer Ekaterine Giorgadze the Frankfurt-based MuddyBoots project company from 2012-2018.

Currently, he develops and manages projects focused on transferring knowledge and experiences in dance to diverse target groups. Together with Giorgadze, he coordinates the dance and kindergarten project Moove On! which currently offers 16 Frankfurt-Kindergartens weekly movement classes taught by professional dance artists.

Jason has taught extensively, choreographed original works and staged choreographic work at arts and business universities in North America and Europe including Zurich University for the Arts, Anton Bruckner University, Hollins University, Folkwang University for the Arts, Palucca University, Frankfurt School of Finance and Management, and many more.

He has developed numerous interactive formats for reflection and exchange on the impact of movement on mental and physical wellbeing, leadership, creativity, and non-verbal communication. His mission is to advocate for the value of movement and physical knowledge and its importance in our daily life, personal development and social interactions.
