Britta Schönbrunn is a freelance dancer, performer and teacher.
Coming from a ballet education in Germany and France, she studied internationally with different teachers and in diverse dance techniques. Through his teachings Paul Estabrook gave her the impulse to travel to New York, where she trained at the Merce Cunnigham School and Movement Research, shifting towards Contact Improvisation, performance and body-mind practices. A major influence on teaching and artistic approach has been Nancy Topf. She inspired her to work in nature, to meditate and introduced her to „The thinking body“ from Mabel E. Todd. Travelling and exchanging between N.Y., Berlin and Japan has been a strong influence on her.
Britta has a long experience in teaching professional dancers, adults and children, which is based on the spirit of Yoga, guided by the Indian Yogi Dr. Jain.
She puts emphasis on awakening the full potential of the individual as well as creative processes.
As a performer assistant and teacher she collaborates with Ingo Reulecke and Jens Reulecke. She furthermore organizes projects and exchange programs with various musicians in the field of improvisation.
Since April 2015 she is enrolled in the MA CoDE program in Frankfurt.
