Nora Kimball trained in New York City at the National Academy of Ballet before attending The Harkness House for Ballet Arts, then studied further at The American Ballet Theater School.
She first worked with Eliot Feld Ballet before going onto to become a soloist with the Stuttgart Ballett , afterwhich she joined Nederlands Dans Theater to work with Jiri Kylian.
Returning to the USA ,Kimball danced as a soloist with American Ballet Theater and went on further to dance with Karole Armitage .
In 1988, she returned to Europe to join the Frankfurt Ballett to work with William Forsythe. During this time she also worked with fashion designer, Issey Miyake and American opera director, Peter Sellars.
She continues to work in Frankfurt teaching the Zena Rommett Floor Barre Technique TM since 2001 in the Dance department of the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst as well as giving Rommett seminars worldwide.
