The association "Friends of Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts" (GFF) was founded in 2007. The Friends aim to optimise the teaching and learning environment and conditions and to widen the scope for young talented and enthusiastic artists. 

They support large-scale opera productions, bursaries for talented beginners and for students from abroad, high-class examination concerts, engagement of guest professors, working periods with distinguished conductors, mental training, instrumental, dance or singing workshops, purchase of special instruments and much more.
