At Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts (HfMDK), around 800 students are taught by 400 professors and teachers who themselves enjoy international reputations as artists, academics and teachers. 

The wide range of artistic potential is reflected in over 20 successful practice-oriented courses offered by the University. Courses are offered in the fields of instrumental playing and singing, composition, conducting, church music, teacher training for all levels of primary and secondary education, contemporary and classical dance, as well as acting and stage direction and theatre and orchestra management. It is also possible to pursue doctoral studies in the teaching of music or musical science.
